Monitor Web Customer Satisfaction Using Online Surveys
posted by WEBSITE MARKETING NOW // April 24, 2009 // Build Your Website
The most important voice in determining the success of your business is ironically not your own. Instead, it’s the voice of your customers.
What do they need? What do they want? What are their goals? What are the problems they are trying to eliminate?
What do they like about your products and services? What do they like about your website? And what do they think is unsatisfactory and needs improvement?
Considering the importance of the customer voice to your business, it would be a major risk to build a website that essentially ignores the customer voice. The converse is true as well. The more your website listens to the customer voice, the more you can adjust the business and your website to better serve your customers.
To that end, try to include elements in your website that capture the customer voice. These can range from the very simple to the complex.
For example, the easiest implementation would be a simple email link with the offer to answer your site visitors’ questions. Something more involved would be crowdsourcing, where you request assistance from your customers in enhancing your business. This might be a request for product improvement suggestions, or a request for improving certain elements of your after-purchase phone support, etc.
To hear the voice of your customers, consider adding the following elements to your website:
- Surveys
- Polls
- Q&A
- Ask the Expert
- Forums
- Contests
- Email Link
- Online Forms
- Blogs
- Crowdsourcing
- Interactive Tools
The more you address your customers’ thoughts, the more they will buy from you and, consequently, the more likely your business will be to succeed.
